Pedro Bazán was the first player from Málaga’s club history to represent Spain at senior level. A prolific goalscorer for CD Málaga, he remains one of the most important figures associated with the early decades of La Rosaleda.

Migueli: a symbol of the historic club

Migueli won two Spain caps while representing Málaga and became a defining player of the club’s celebrated 1970s side. His status comes from both his international recognition and his long connection to Málaga.

Juanito: Málaga roots, national icon

Juan Gómez “Juanito” was born in Fuengirola and began his senior story with Atlético Madrid and Burgos before becoming a Real Madrid and Spain legend. His place in Málaga football culture goes beyond a conventional club-statistics list because he represents the province’s contribution to Spanish football.

Málaga’s strongest modern teams brought several Spain internationals to La Rosaleda:

Santi Cazorla

Cazorla arrived as an established Spanish international and played a central role in the side that qualified for the Champions League. He was part of Spain’s Euro 2012-winning squad.

Nacho Monreal

Isco
